Our Mission, Vision and Equity Statement

Vision Statement

We envision a school community where every student is engaged and empowered to reach their highest potential. P37R is a place where families are true partners, staff are uplifted and supported, and collaboration drives meaningful outcomes. Through academically rigorous, creative, and inclusive learning experiences, our students develop the language, literacy, communication, and confidence needed to navigate the world safely, independently, and with purpose.

Mission Statement

At P37R, our mission is to create a safe, joyful, and academically rigorous learning environment rooted in inclusivity, where every student belongs, is valued, and is empowered through language, literacy, and communication. We educate the whole child in fully integrated learning communities where students learn together across settings, supported by a collaborative, interprofessional team in partnership with families. We presume competence and lead with asset-based pedagogy, ensuring every student’s strengths, voice, and identity are recognized, honored, and developed by providing access to high-quality instruction and the arts.

Equity Vision Statement

The David Marquis School of the Arts is a school community that celebrates and honors every unique individual member and the multifaceted experiences that they bring to the school.

We believe that embracing our diversity leads to social/emotional and academic excellence. Our curriculum reflects our commitment to diversity and to a multicultural perspective.

We actively seek to understand the complex and rich identities of self and others and lean into difficult topics related to diversity and inclusion. This pursuit and belief prepare out students to be contributing members of an increasingly diverse and digitally connected world.
